Coos County Child Safety Seat Coalition
The purpose of the Coos County Child Safety Seat Coalition (CCCSSC) is to reduce the number of children who are injured and killed on the streets, roads and highways in Coos County. The Coalition shall provide convertible and booster safety seats to financially qualified families. Through community partnerships with both public and private entities, the Coalition shall provide organized education and training, safety seat inspections, and clinics that shall increase the proper use of child safety seats following the recommendations of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Roadside surveys, data collection and analysis shall measure the effectiveness of the program.
