Peace Giving Court

The Court has a component designed for dispute resolution and providing an alternative method of adjudicating cases involving Tribal member youth who have committed certain Violations and admitted their guilt. This division of tribal court is a cooperative effort between the Coquille Indian Tribe and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua & Siuslaw Indians. The Peacegiving Court offers a restorative justice process to resolve disputes and to heal the effects of crime on the offender, the victim and the community.
