Mission Statement:
“Provide professional land, building and facilities maintenance, community and economic development planning, and real estate acquisition services to the Coquille Tribe to strengthen sovereign oversight, improve Tribal governance, encourage private sector investment, secure the economic viability of Tribal business investments, and provide long-term sustainable development”
The Department of Planning, Realty and Community Services supports the Coquille Tribe in all capacities that support land, building and facilities maintenance, community and land-use planning, road building, and economic development on Tribal lands. Department staff also provides administrative and technical support to the Tribe’s real estate acquisitions through the Realty committee, and provides work crews to various programs and departments as needed to support Tribal objectives, as well as employment opportunities for Tribal members and their families.

Realty:
The Realty Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM in the Tribal Council Chambers. Currently there is no budget for acquisition of new properties so the committee meets on an “on call” basis.
Property purchased: There were no new purchases this year. The remainder of the committee’s budget funds was utilized to pay down the debt on the Elk creek property.

CIT / CITGO HEATING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
We have been informed by CITGO and Citizens Energy that the tribe will receive funding this year for the heating assistance program, but at this time the tribe can not guarantee grant funding. The funds available in the program are based upon estimations from the previous years usage. The funds do have a limited amount available, once depleted, the program will come to an end for this season.
This is NOT an Emergency Assistance Program, if you are in need of immediate assistance due to shut off notice or other emergency needs, please use other resources available within your community.
This supplemental heating assistance program provides a direct payment to heating vendors only.
